World's largest ferris wheel: Dubai's new high-rise wonder which will carry 1,400 passengers as it nears completion

The Emirian descent are full of wonders and have never stopped leaving the world in awe

Burj al Arab
Burj Al Arab is the only “7-star” hotel in the world, featuring a Sky view Bar, an underwater restaurant and an outdoor tennis court. It is also one of the most iconic symbols of Dubai and one of the most photographed monuments in the world.

The Palm Islands

he Palm Islands are the largest artificial islands in the world and one of the most ambitious developments on earth. These amazing man-made islands are considered the eighth wonder of the world. The Palm Trilogy, which comprises the Palm Jebel Ali, the Palm Deira and the Palm Jumeirah, houses luxury hotels, exclusive beachside homes, water theme parks, marinas, as well as leisure and entertainment centers.

Infinity Tower

Infinity Tower is the world’s tallest high-rise building with a twist of 90˚. The unique, almost completed, skyscraper spirals by an amazing 90 degrees from its base to its crown, 305 meters (1,000 feet) above the ground. The 80-storey high residential tower has dynamic waterfront views, which depend of its elevation. Amazingly, there is not a single structural pillar anywhere inside the building.

Dubai Mall

Dubai Mall is the largest shopping center in the world by area. Its 1,200 retail outlets, department stores, over 160 food and beverage outlets, and huge entertainment zone, attract more than 750,000 visitors every week. The mall has also a 250-room luxury hotel, and even a large aquarium in it, the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, with the world’s largest viewing panel. Outside the mall, there’s the incredible Dubai Fountain with its dancing waters.

Dubai Miracle Garden

Is it a miracle or a mirage? Incredibly developed in the middle of the desert, Dubai Miracle Garden is the largest natural flower garden in the world. The 72,000-square-meter colorful garden has more than 45 million flowers fashioned into the shapes of hearts, stars, igloos, pyramids, flower-decked vintage cars, arc-shaped walkways and so on, which will change each season. It has entered the Guinness Book of Records with the world’s biggest flower clock, and also hopes to be recognized as having the longest wall of flowers and the largest pyramid of flowers.

Dubai Frozen Haute Chocolate ice cream sundae

The dessert uses a fine blend of 28 cocoas, including 14 of the world's most expensive. The sundae was made in partnership with luxury jeweller Euphoria New York.

The dessert is decorated with 5 g (0.17 oz) of edible 23-karat gold and is served in a goblet lined with edible gold. The base of the goblet is an 18-karat gold bracelet with 1 carat of white diamonds. The dessert is eaten with a gold spoon, itself decorated with white and chocolate-colored diamonds, which can also be taken home.

And just when you thought you've seen enough wonders and expensive price tags we present to you The worlds largest ferris wheel.

It is a high rise wonder that easily rivals the likes of the London Eye.

And now, as Dubai's astounding ferris wheel, Ain Dubai, nears completion, it is certainly a sight to behold.

Incredible photos show the 360-degree attraction gradually taking shape at the £1billion Bluewater site.

Images of the progress were shared on social media on Wednesday by Dubai-based holding company, Meeras, who are managing the project.

The 668 feet tall marvel will have the capacity to carry 1,400 passengers in 48 self-contained capsules.
They'll be fully air-conditioned to cope with the sweltering UAE heat, with sleek wooden floors and classy Corian benches.

Made by Hyundai , the double glazed pods will measure 100-sq-ft and provide clear views of the impressive skyline.

It is set to be the world's tallest ferris wheel.

But it won't be taller than The Shard, which stands at 310metres high - in contrast to the Dubai wheel's 210 metres.
How other structures fair in comparison

It will, however, be able to take 1,400 passengers at any one time, whereas the London Eye can only carry around 800.

The structure is made with 9,000 tonnes of steel, which is ore than the Eiffel Tower, and will weigh more than the equivalent of eight Airbus A380s.

It was first scheduled for completion in 2015, but is now on track to be ready by 2018 - five years after the project first began.
