MUSIC: Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” is now the most streamed track on Spotify

British singer Ed Sheeran now holds the record for the highest streams on a song on Spotify. His “Shape Of You” track surpassed Canadian rapper Drake‘s “One Dance” featuring Wizkid & Kyla which had held the position since 18th of October 2016.

“One Dance” surpassed Major Lazer‘s “Lean On” to attain that mark last year and currently has about 1,317,143,742 plays on Spotify. Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” however has over 1,318,420,396 plays.

Ed Sheeran is also the most streamed artist in terms of monthly listeners, and second of all time behind Drake.
