DRIVER CAUSES FATAL ACCIDENT AFTER FORCIBLY KISSING PASSENGER

One person died on the spot while three others are recuperating in hospital after a vehicle they were travelling in rammed a culvert before rolling several times.
The accident occurred at Shikuyu near Goldmine petrol station along the Sigalagala–Butere highway in Ikolomani sub-county.
A witnesses claimed the driver of the seven-seater matatu lost control of the vehicle.

“The matatu rammed into the culvert and rolled three times. A woman who was at the co-driver’s seat died instantly while the driver was unconscious. We rushed to the scene and rescued them from the wreckage,” said Iholi village elder, Jacob Ilolo.

Iloli guaranteed that the driver was flushed. Caroline Musanga, another witness said she was breastfeeding her infant when the matatu smashed the course. 

"I heard a noisy blast and when I left the house to perceive what was occurring, I saw the matatu flying noticeable all around before arriving in my compound. I express gratitude toward God the children were not outside as they would have been harmed," she said. 

Moses Makhanu, a survivor asserted that the driver was stroking the lady in the traveler situate alongside him. 

Makhanu guaranteed that the driver relatively lost control of the matatu at Sigalagala National Polytechnic when he endeavored to persuasively kiss the lady, yet figured out how to unfaltering the auto. 

He said they forewarned him against rash driving, yet the driver offended them and even undermined to toss them out of the vehicle. 

"The driver seemed alcoholic. You could hear him telling the woman how he cherishes her and needed to wed her. At the point when the vehicle got to the mischance scene, he endeavored to kiss the lady by compel," he asserted. 

Western activity police supervisor Geoffrey Njogu affirmed the mishap saying the perished was taken to Kakamega County Referral Hospital anticipating posthumous. 

"Another traveler's left leg was cracked and the correct hand separated. The third survivor had back torments at the time we took them to Kakamega County Referral Hospital for particular treatment," he said.
