Nigerian Air Force’s Mi-17 attack helicopter of thehas crashed in the northeast during a counter-insurgency operation.
An announcement by the Director, NAF Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya stated, "A Nigerian Airforce NAF Mi-17 helicopter has endured a disaster while undertaking a mission in the progressing counter insurrection operation in the North east. The episode which happened today, (Monday), 8 January 2018, came about huge harm to the helicopter. There was be that as it may, no loss of lives because of the occurrence.
