A Woman depicted as a blogger was crushed by a vehicle early yesterday while attempting to escape from two presumed thieves at Anthony transport stop.
One of the criminals was injured in the mishap, which occurred at midnight.
The late Oluwafeyidara Adekoya was coming back from chapel when the bike riding punks jumped on her.
The Nation accumulated that they endeavored to seize her of her sack and telephones yet she raised the alert and took to her foot sole areas.
The punks pursued her before an approaching vehicle ran them over.
The rider got away, however the attempt at manslaughter driver kept running over his associate and Adekoya.
A witness, who gave his name as Uche, stated: "She kicked the bucket on the spot. The other thief was unconscious yet he was balanced out by the Lagos State Ambulance Services (LASAMBUS), that went to the scene with authorities from LASEMA.
"She was holding up to take a transport and a bicycle with a traveler showed up. They attempted to ransack her and she raised the alert. A vehicle later came and kept running into them. While the rider rode away, the woman and one of the burglars were hit. The woman kicked the bucket while the person was basically harmed.
"The suspect was moved to the healing facility. I didn't get his name however the woman was said to be a columnist with In-Situ Media."
LASEMA General Manager Adesina Tiamiyu said the harmed suspect had been given over to the police.
He stated: "Yes there was an accident including a young lady and a man. They were thumped around a vehicle. The lady kicked the bucket on the spot. We found the man oblivious and revived him. He was taken to Gbagada General Hospital.
"We were told the man was a theft suspect and that he and his associate had endeavored to ransack the woman before they were thumped around a vehicle. Thus, we gave over the man to the police for additionally activity."
Be that as it may, police representative Chike Oti, a Superintendent of Police (SP), said the police were exploring an attempt at manslaughter case and not burglary.
Oti said: “I confirm there was an accident. A woman was killed and a young man sustained injury. There was no robbery. We are investigating a case of hit-and-run because the driver fled.”
