A disabled schoolboy was left bloodied and fearing for his life after his mum claims he was beaten up by bullies.
Mum Valerie Lozano has accused her son's school of not doing enough to protect him amid claims a teacher knew the fight was about to take place - but did nothing to stop it.
Valerie's son Michael says the teacher promised "don't worry I got you" after he went to him moments before he was viciously attacked.
Valerie, from San Antonio, Texas, said her son has ADHD, anxiety and depression, and now no longer wanted to go to school and he is struggling to eat or sleep.
Michael said: "I felt I just wanted to faint, cry.
"I'm scared. I'm terrified for my life."
Michael's mum has shared images of the young boy covered in blood following the fight at Resnik Middle School today, as she has slammed teaching staff online for not intervening.
She told Ken S5: "When a student cries out to help to their teacher, stop what you're doing and help them.
"They're shouting out for help on purpose.
"(The instructor) could have strolled my child to the auto, he could of took my child to the workplace."
Valerie claims that the vital assembled Michael in for a conference the following day yet the instructor who guaranteed to help him never turned up.
"I additionally continue calling Southwest ISD District to address them about what happen and what will be done about this and they stay away for the indefinite future my telephone calls.
