Horrifying footage has emerged of bodies lying in pools of blood as hysterical students cower nearby after the Florida high school gunman stormed in and opened fire.
The disturbing videos and images were taken by students inside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Wednesday when suspected gunman Nikolas Cruz shot dead 17 people.
Images taken from one student's cellphone video show a girl's lifeless body lying in the middle of a classroom in a pool of blood.
Police can be seen carrying a different female student from the classroom as a number of terrified, sobbing students follow the officer cautiously to safety.
The students were forced to run through the blood-streaked halls to get outside the building, passing by several other lifeless bodies and discarded backpacks.

It is one of the many horrifying videos to emerge in the aftermath of the shooting massacre that shows the absolute terror that unfolded when the gunman stormed into the school armed with an assault rifle.
Unlike other school shootings in the past, these videos and images have put viewers directly inside the bloodied classrooms and hallways as gunfire rang out and terrified students screamed for help.
In footage taken by one student, the sound of gunfire echoed out across the room as ear-piercing screams rang out.
Students could be seen scrambling and crouching to the floor, while a male student close by screamed: 'Oh my God, oh my God. Oh my God'.
They were among the dozens of students and teachers who desperately tried to seek shelter as the gunman walked the halls shooting into classrooms as he went along.
Photographs shared by those in lock down showed them hiding under desks and chairs.
Another photo shared on Snapchat showed a classroom sprayed with bullets: 'There's bullet holes in the f***ing computer.'

Students were filmed literally shaking with fear on one video as heavily armed police entered their classrooms and ordered them to put their hands up.
Several students shared detailed descriptions of what was happening in real time on social media as the shooter went classroom to classroom.
Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel revealed late on Thursday that Cruz had confessed to carrying out one of the nation's deadliest school shootings and carried extra ammunition in his backpack.
Cruz told investigators he brought more loaded magazines to the school and kept them in the backpack until he got on campus.
He also said he heard 'demon voices' who told him to carry out the deadly attack, according to law enforcement sources who spoke to ABC News.
The gunman fired into five classrooms - four on the first floor of the school and one on the second floor.
The shooting lasted for three minutes.
When he was done firing, the assailant went to the third floor and dropped his AR-15 rifle and the backpack containing the ammunition.
He then ran out of the building and attempted to blend in with fleeing students.
After the rampage, the suspect headed to a Wal-Mart and bought a drink at a Subway restaurant before walking to a McDonald's. He was taken into custody about 40 minutes after leaving the McDonald's.
