A driver of Oyo State-owned mass transit bus yesterday killed a secondary school pupil in Ibadan. The accident, which attracted other pupils, resulted in a mob attack on the bus, popularly called Ajumose.
Individuals vandalized the vehicle by crushing the windscreen and side mirror. The horde assaulted the driver, a moderately aged man, who was harmed.
The mishap happened close Lafia Hospital, Mokola, Ibadan. The unidentified driver was said to have additionally harmed understudies.
A witness said:-
"The activity was light. Students were going home. All of a sudden, the transport showed up and hit them, killing an auxiliary school young lady. Travelers landed, however the horde captured the driver. He was pounded before the police safeguarded him."
The police charge representative Adekunle Ajisebutu stated: "The driver is in our care. He has been taken to Police Hospital, Eleyele, Ibadan. "The body of the student has been stored at Alafia Hospital funeral home. Examination has started."
