Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has admitted he is keen to bring Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele to Anfield.
The 20-year-old joined the Nou Camp club last summer for £95m, but has struggled to settle after a serious muscle injury towards the start of the campaign.
Dembele has also supposedly found it difficult to adapt to Barcelona since making the move.
The forward joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund as part of a bid to replace Neymar, who joined Paris-Saint Germain in the summer.
And when Klopp was asked on Sunday whether he was interested in signing Dembele, he replied: “Is he on the market? Now I’m interested.”
Dembele’s struggles were highlighted by the fact he was not used in Barcelona’s 2-2 draw with Real Madrid on Sunday evening.
He was left on the bench, continuing a trend that has seen him complete just one league match this campaign, making just nine starts and only bagging one goal in La Liga.
His start at the club was difficult; Dembele picked up a serious muscle injury on his third appearance in September, keeping him out for four months.
Dembele has also struggled since his return, with a Champions League goal against Chelsea in March one of the few highlights to his campaign.
Barcelona is now expected to bring in Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann in the summer, increasing Dembele’s competition for places.
