Erik Lamela Signs New Contract Extension With Tottenham Hotspur

Erik Lamela has signed a contract extension with Tottenham ahead of the new season.
Erik Lamela has penned a fresh contact, which will expire in the summer of 2022, shortly after team-mate Heung-min Son’s five-year extension was confirmed.
Lamela has begun his pre-season, his first since 2015 without an international tournament, with a first-half hat-trick against Southend United and will continue to work on his fitness during the squad’s pre-season tour of the United States.
Lamela missed a large portion of the last two seasons with a hip injury.
However, he was a key figure of the squad upon his return, notably featuring in Tottenham’s 2-2 draw away at Juventus in the Champions League.
Since signing from Roma in 2013, Lamela has made 149 appearances for Tottenham, scoring 24 goals.
He netted a brace during Tottenham’s 5-4 win over Leicester on the last day of the 2017-18 Premier League season, and has become an important player under Mauricio Pochettino.
