A Zimbabwean man named Godwishes Magarira took his second wife, Memory Shiri to court because he experienced erectile dysfunction whenever he was with his second wife. He brought her before the Magistrate court accusing her of bewitching him.
In the Zimbabwean law, Witchcraft is considered a serious crime and acts of witchcraft are punishable by jail time. Magarira brought before the court evidence of his erectile dysfunction before the court, he also told the court that his second wife had been boasting about the fact that she had bewitched him and she had the power to control his sex life.
The Court sentenced Shiri to 13 months in prison.
