Man injured by abusive mother while rescuing her children from her

A man has been seriously injured in the face by an abusive mother, while trying to rescue her children from her constant assault on them.
The incident reportedly happened Imiringi, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

According to the report given by the man and other witnesses at the scene, the good Samaritan was pelted in the face with a big rock.
However, the children were eventually rescued by an NGO, DO Foundation, through its Executive Director, Dise Ogbise-Erhisere, who is also the Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association, NBA Sagbama branch.
She expressed worry that the children stayed with neighbours( men) for two days and looked so unkept and sick.

It was gathered that the mother of the children, had on several occasions, consistently assaulted her children and the concerned neighbor, who intervened, was injured with a big stone aimed at him by the lady.


The matter was reported to the police but the suspect escaped before their arrival. The children has since been taken into protective custody.

The NBA boss called on members of the public to look out for all cases human rights violation and speak out in order to save the lives of children.

She admonished people to work with the Police to report any case of child abuse they come across
