Multi-award winning singer, Tiwa Savage, who recently held a successful concert in London, has opened up on some challenges women face in Africa; lamenting further about how hard it is to be a woman in this continent.
The Nigerian superstar songstress, took to her InstaStory on Sunday to make a post which shows that she might be going through some hard times in her music career.
While she did not give details of her recent struggles, it appears like she is not pleased with what might seems to be the misogynist system structured in the music industry and it seems to frustrate efforts of hardworking women like her.
The mother-of-one who recorded a sold-out show at the London O2 arena over the weekend, wrote:
“It’s a sin to be a woman in Africa.”In another post – but this time via her Instagram account – the Mavin star shared a photo with her son Jamil Balogun and wrote:
“I feel like giving up.”
“Tired of fighting.”
“Tired of proving myself.”
“Tired of smiling”
“It’s not easy but you make it worth it, I pray you grow up to treat EVERY woman like a queen because you’ve seen what your mama had to go through Don’t know what I’d do without the love you give me, I will give my life for you.”The singer who has enjoyed a fairly eventful 2018, and is set to release her third studio album later in the year, said she wanted to give her UK fans much more than a show, and this she fulfilled on the night.
