The incident reportedly happened at Ibironke Ibafemi Close, Santos Estate in Akowonjo area of Lagos where they resided.
The cause of their fight was not disclosed. However, the residents suspected that they might have engaged in the public fight over a matter related with a lover.
It was gathered that the two ladies had been friends before they had the disagreement over an undisclosed matter which led to the public fight.
Evelyn was consequently arrested by the Police before being arraigned in court.

Police source said that Evelyn arranged with two other suspects now at large and ambushed Olufunke on the street. They attacked and tore her dress publicly leaving her with only pant on.
She was hurriedly taken into a hidden corner by people around where a Samaritan offered her clothes to cover her nakedness.
The matter was reported to the police at Afonka Police Division; Evelyn was arrested and detained at the police station.
She was later charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates court and the torn pieces of Olufunke’s clothes were brought to the court as exhibit.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector G Simon, did not oppose her being granted bail.

However, the prosecutor informed the court that apart from tearing her dress, that Evelyn and two other persons assaulted Olufunke and stabbed her hand with a sharp object which caused her serious injury.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J. Layeni, granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 5th September, 2018.
