Five Movies Released In The Month Of August You Should Find Time To Watch

August was a movie month to remember. A number of blockbuster movies made its way to the cinemas while some very interesting ones didn’t.
Alpha

Alpha is a 2018 American historical adventure film directed by Albert Hughes and written by Daniele Sebastian Wiedenhaupt. The film stars Kodi Smit-McPhee as young Keda; a young hunter who befriends an injured wolf during the last ice age, with Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as his father.
Young Keda tries to survive alone in the wilderness after he’s left for dead during his first hunt with his Cro-Magnon tribe. He soon forms an unlikely alliance with a lone wolf that was abandoned by its pack. Facing overwhelming odds and nonstop danger, Keda and the wolf must now trek through a harsh and unforgiving landscape to make it home before winter.
Mile 22

Mark Wahlberg stars as CIA operative James Silva; who leads a small but lethal paramilitary team on an urgent and dangerous mission. They must transport a foreign intelligence asset from an American embassy in Southeast Asia to an airfield for extraction — a distance of 22 miles.
Silva and the soldiers soon find themselves in a race against time as the city’s military, police and street gangs close in to reclaim the asset. The film stars also stars John Malkovich, Lauren Cohan, Iko Uwais, and Ronda Rousey.
The Meg

The Meg is a 2018 science fiction film. directed by Jon Turteltaub with a screenplay by Dean Georgaris, Jon Hoeber, and Erich Hoeber, loosely based on the 1997 book Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror by Steve Alten. The film stars Jason Statham, Li Bingbing, Rainn Wilson, Ruby Rose, Winston Chao, and Cliff Curtis.
The story follows a group of scientists who encounter a 75-foot-long (23 m) megalodon shark which attacks their vessel, while on a rescue mission at the floor of the Pacific Ocean previously thought to be extinct.
With time running out, a visionary oceanographer recruits rescue diver Jonas Taylor to save the crew and the sea itself from an unimaginable threat.
Slenderman

Slenderman is a 2018 movie that follows the story of Small-town best friends Hallie, Chloe, Wren and Katie who go online to try and conjure up the Slender Man — a tall, thin, horrifying figure whose face has no discernible features.
Two weeks later, Katie mysteriously disappears during a class trip to a historic graveyard. Determined to find her, the girls soon suspect that the legend of the Slender Man may be all too real.
Crazy Rich Asians

The film stars Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Gemma Chan, Awkwafina, Nico Santos, Lisa Lu, Ken Jeong, and Michelle Yeoh, and follows a young Chinese-American woman who travels to meet her boyfriend’s family and is surprised when she discovers they are among the richest in Singapore.
