Seven Household Items That You Can Use To Remove Ink Stains

Every mother can relate to the problem of removing ink stains from the clothes of their kids but not very many people know how to remove them. Here are simple, trusted at-home tips to deal with ink stain removal.
Salt
Pouring salt on an ink stain that’s still wet,can aid it’s removal. Gently dab with a wet paper towel, and then remove and brush off the salt. Repeat until the stain has completely lifted.
Hair Spray
If you find out that your toddler just went wild with a ballpoint pen on their clothes or your new favourite dress, squirt the stain with hair spray and the pen marks should come right off.
Nail Polish Remover
If the ink stains on your skin won’t come off with soap and water, chances are they are not water-soluble. You can make use of a nail polish remover instead. Take a cotton ball and wipe the affected areas with the solution.
Once the ink stains are gone, wash skin with soap and water. Nail polish remover can also eliminate ink stains on the drum of your clothes dryer.
Toothpaste
Toothpaste can only work as an ink removal on certain types of fabrics and also on the type of ink. You can put non-gel toothpaste on the stain and rub the fabric vigorously together.
Rinse with water. If you find that some of the ink came off, repeat the process a few more times until you get rid of all the ink. Note: The same process works for lipstick.
Butter
If your kid uses a pen to make some drawings on their favourite doll or toy, you can try eliminating the graffiti by rubbing butter on it and leaving the doll face-up in the sun for a few days. Wash it off with soap and water.
Cornstarch
If you happen to find spilled Ink on the carpet, you can make use of some milk. Mix the milk with cornstarch to make a paste, and apply the paste to the ink stain to remove it. Allow the concoction to dry on the carpet for a few hours, then brush off the dried residue and vacuum it up.
Milk
To remove ink stains from coloured clothes, make use of an overnight milk bath. Just soak the affected garment in milk overnight and launder as usual the next day.
