Disney’s “Ralph Breaks the Internet” dominated the Thanksgiving box office, raking in a massive $84.6 million at 4,017 locations over the five-day holiday period and $56 million for the weekend.
Ralph Breaks the Internet earned $21.7 million on Friday while on its way to a projected $50.5 million three-day total. That’s actually just slightly ahead of its 2012 predecessor Wreck-It Ralph, which opened to $49 million over three days and finished with a worldwide total of $471.2 million ($189.4M domestically).

“Whenever we look at sequels, they have to be additive,” Cathleen Taff, Disney’s president of global distribution, said of “Ralph Breaks the Internet’s” impressive opening.Ralph Breaks the Internet is now playing in theaters.
“The filmmakers built this world out with such attention to detail that people were ready to come back and enjoy these characters. We’re really excited about the momentum as we head into the holidays.”
