A concerned social media user has recently used his platform to cry out on behalf of some ladies whom he claimed have been arrested and assaulted by officers of theNigerian PoliceForce.The man identified as @martObono, shared theplight of the ladies on micro blogging platform Twitter. According to him, 70 ladies were reportedly arrested and taken to the Utako police station, following a similar arrest that had taken place on the night of Friday, April 26, in Abuja.He said the arrest of the ladies was simply because they were rounded up for clubbing andfor some others among them, prostitution."As I type, 70 girls were arrested and brought toUtako Police station last night. This is in addition to the ones who were arrested on Friday night. She was not allowed to breastfeed her baby by CRO in charge on duty despite continuous plea amidst tears. It took the intervention of a female police officer who called the DPO to overrule the decision of the inspector at the time."
