The Judge, Mark Hadfield also ordered that Drinkwater should be given 70 hours community service after the midfielder pleaded guilty to drink driving.Confirming the incident to reporters, Cheshire Police said: “A 29-year-old man from Nether Alderley was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He is currently in custody assisting officers with their inquiries.”
Drinkwater crashed his Range Rover into a Skoda car at approximately 12.30am, hours before Chelsea’s Premier League 2-0 victory over West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.
