Nigeria election: Hearing of Atiku’s petition against Buhari begins Wednesday

The tribunal will hold its inaugural session on Wednesday at the Abuja division of the Court of Appeal.
Schedule of activities were released on Tuesday with four petitions for mention.
The first is the one filed by Hope Democratic Party (HDP) and Ambrose Owuru, who claimed to be the party’s presidential candidate. The petition, marked: CA/PEPC/001/2019 was filed on March 7 this year.
The second, marked: CA/PEPC/002/2019 was filed on March 18 this year by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the election, Atiku Abubakar.
The third marked: CA/PEPC/003/2019 was filed by the Coalition for Change (C4C) and Geff Ojinika, who claimed to be the party’s presidential candidate.
The fourth petition, marked: CA/PEPC/004/2019, was filed on March 19 this year by the People’s Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pastor Aminchi Habu, listed as the party’s presidential candidate.
Atiku is insisting that the result from the server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confirmed he defeated President Buhari.
The legal team of Atiku and the PDP is being led by Livy Uzoukwu (SAN).
In details of his petition to the tribunal, the former vice president gave the “unique MAC address and Microsoft product ID of the INEC server” from where the results were obtained.
While INEC official results shows that Buhari polled 15,191,847 and Atiku coming second with 11,262,978 votes, the Wazirin Adamawa is arguing that he polled a total of 18,356,732 votes to Buhari’s 16,741,430 votes.
Atiku and the PDP said that the address of the server from which the results were obtained are unique to INEC.
