Porto 'have ended their pursuit of Manchester City defender Eliquim Mangala after concerns over his physical condition.'
The French centre-back suffered a serious knee ligament injury during the second game of a loan spell at Everton in February 2018 and hasn't played first-team football since.
Mangala, 28, missed nine months with the injury and wasn't part of Pep Guadiola's plans when he regained fitness, instead playing for City's under 23 team.
And, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Porto have been put off a possible £42million signing because of this knee problem.
They feel there is too much risk Mangala will suffer another knee issue during their pre-season training and the money will be wasted.
Mangala was City's record signing when he arrived from Porto back in 2014 but injuries and poor form have made his time at the Etihad Stadium an unhappy one.
He has only played four matches under Guardiola and wasn't a part of their 'Quadruple' trophy parade after they added the FA Cup to the Premier League, EFL Cup and Community Shield last month.
