State-possessed essential and secondary schools in Rivers have been coordinated to cease collecting charges and levies from pupils and students with prompt effect.
Gov. Nyesom Wike gave the orders on Monday during a gathering with the Heads of Primary and Secondary Schools, Senior Secondary Schools Board and Universal Basic Education Board at Government House, Port Harcourt.
He said that the abrogation of all types of expenses and collects in primary and secondary schools over the state was expected to make access to quality education.
Wike additionally expressed that the state government would send direct designations to all primary and secondary schools management for their activities.
