Kelechi Nwakali and other Nigerian players who made transfer deadline day moves

Nigeria international Kelechi Nwakali has finally ended his stint at Arsenal to join Spanish Segunda Division (second division) side SD Huesca on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee. 

The 20-year-old joined Arsenal in 2016 after his impressive performance at the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup where he won the Golden Ball Award as the best player of the tournament after leading Nigeria to the title. 
He never made any senior appearance for Arsenal as he spent all his time at the club on loan. 
"It's been a good journey with Arsenal since 2016 despite never played (sic) any official game for them," he wrote on social media

"I have gained a lot from my time here and everybody involved with the club have been great to me.
"I just want to say a big thank you and goodbye, because it is time to move on, time for another chapter and another challenge."

Nigerians on transfer deadline day

Nwakali was one of the Nigerian players that were busy in the thick of the transfer deadline rush to finalise transfers to another club.

Isah Aliyu (FC Lori to UD Almeria)

Former Remo Stars midfielder Isah Aliyu has completed a transfer to Spain after he signed a five-year contract with UD Almeria.
Aliyu who started his career with Remo Star scored seven goals in 29 appearances to help FC Lori to the top flight in Armenia last season. 

Sylvester Igboun (FK UFA to Sylvester Igboun) 


Nigerian forward Sylvester Igboun on Monday completed a move from FK Ufa to fellow Russian side Dynamo Moscow. Igboun joined Moscow on loan until the end of the season. 

Kinglsey Michael (Bologna to US Cremonese) 

Former Golden Eaglets star Kinglsey Michael has left Serie A club on loan to join Serie B side US Cremonese.
This will be the 20-year-old’s second loan stint away from Bologna since he joined the Italian club in 2017. 

Chinedu Geoffrey (Rabotnicki to Olimpik Donetsk) 

Nigerian forward Chinedu Geoffrey has left Macedonian club Rabotnicki for Olimpik Donetsk of Ukraine on a three-year-deal. 

Maxwell Effiom (Enyimba to Sandness) 

Enyimba star Maxwell Effiom was able to secure a move to Norwegian club Sandness on a three-year-deal. 

Nnamdi Ofoborh (Bournemouth to Wycome Wanderers) 

Flying Eagles midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh has joined English League One side Wycombe Wanderers on a loan deal from Bournemouth. 
The 19-year-old played for Nigeria in the 2019 FIFA Under-20 World Cup but is yet to make his senior club debut. 

Uche Agbo (Standard Liege to Bragga)

Nigeria international Uche Agbo has left Standard Liege on a loan deal again, this time to Portuguese side Sporting Braga.
