Popular Singer; ’s fraud case Court hearing resumes today

Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley is set to resume trial at the federal high court of Lagos today
He went ahead glorifying and promoting Internet fraudsters aka “Yahoo Boys” on social media.
Internet fraud is a serious crime in the country, and his actions positioned him as a suspect of this crime

On the 10th of May 2019, he was arrested along with fellow singer Zlatan and three others by the EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission).

A few days later, Zlatan is the others were released but Naira Marley was held, hostage

A court trial was held on the 20th of May under Justice Owenibe and in the presence of the defense and prosecuting counsels.
The court read all the eleven count charges before Naira Marley, which he plead not guilty to all of them.
On Thursday, 30th of May, he was granted bail for the sum of two million Naira.
The case was however adjourned to the 22nd,23rd, and 24th of October for accelerated hearing by Justice Nicholas Onweibo
Earlier today, Wilson Uwujaren; Economic and Financial Crimes Commission spokesman gave an official statement.
He said; ” The matter is coming up tomorrow,”
Tomorrow is surely a day of reckoning for Naira Marley.
We hope Justice tampers with Mercy, and we pray for a fair hearing Tomorrow.
Earlier this year, the singer got himself into a deep mess, which began from social media.
