Transfer news LIVE: Sancho agrees Man Utd terms, Francisco Ramos latest, Chilwell to Chelsea, Dembele to Arsenal

Football in England has been suspended ‘indefinitely’ due to the coronavirus crisis, and while hopes remain to resume the season by June 30, speculation around potential transfer for the 2020-21 season remains in full swing.
We’ll keep you abreast of all the news from our correspondents, and the talking points and rumours from the rest of Europe.
Upamecano wants Premier League move

RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano has been consistently linked with Arsenal and Manchester United and if the defender gets his wish, he could be there by the summer transfer window
According to Diario Sport, they claim the 21-year-old favours a move to the Premier League over PSG, who apparently hold an interest in the Frenchman.

Upamecano's contract expires in 2021 and that leaves Leipzig in the unenviable position of choosing between keeping the defender for another year or cashing in now, with a £50 million fee mooted.

But this news will certainly alert, the top four clubs, with Upamecano one of the brightest defensive talents in Europe.
LIVERPOOL NEWS
Werner 'plans meetings' with Klopp

Some transfer news now that could send some Liverpool fans into overdrive.
According to reports in Germany, Timo Werner has arranged to meet Jurgen Klopp to discuss a move to Liverpool over the summer.

That's the latest from Bild's Christian Falk, who revealed meetings have been set up between Klopp and the RB Leipzig striker amid Liverpool's reported interest in the 23-year-old.

However, with the coronavirus lockdown very much still in place, it is unclear when two parties will meet and if Leipzig would entertain the idea of selling their star striker, who has scored 27 goals in 36 appearances.
Chelsea face Inter fight for Mertens

Staying on the topic of Chelsea and Inter Milan, the two clubs are set to battle it out to sign Napoli's Dries Mertens.
According to Rai Sport, both clubs have submitted an offer for the Belgian, who is poised to leave the Partenopei on a free transfer after seven years at the San Paolo.

Chelsea tried to sign the 32-year-old in January only for Mertens to stick with Napoli to beat Marek Hamsik's all-time goalscoring record.

But with Mertens rejecting the Italian side's latest terms, it seems he will have his pick of his next destination, with both Chelsea and Inter ready to increase his weekly wage to land the forward.
Fabregas drops Serie A hint

Cesc Fabregas and the Serie A go together like a block of gouda and a bottle of merlot - and the former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder has hinted he would be interested in a move to Italy.

The 32-year-old, currently playing for AS Monaco in Ligue 1, was asked by Romelu Lukaku on Twitter if he'd consider moving to Italy in his career.
Fabregas replied with two 'smiling' emojis, hinting there could be some interest from his side. Of course, the Spanish midfielder played under Antonio Conte and won a Premier League title in 2017.

Is there a chance he could reunite with the Italian coach at the San Siro? Let's put that one on our wishlist.
ARSENAL NEWS
Atletico offer Arsenal target new deal

Atletico Madrid have offered Thomas Partey a new contract in an attempt to ward off interest from clubs this summer amid speculation linking him with Arsenal.

We told you earlier today that the 26-year-old is on the Gunners' list of targets, according to reports in Spain, and with a £43.8m release clause, the Spanish side are vulnerable to offers from interested parties.

But The Guardian's Fabrizio Romano claims the Ghanaian will be offered improved terms by Atleti to keep him at the Wanda Metropolitano, which would include doubling his salary and raising the release clause to 100 million (£87.3m).

Less than a year ago, Mauricio Pochettino was leading his Tottenham side into a Champions League final. Now speculation is rife that Newcastle's prospective owners want him to lead their ambitious project.
The Saudi-based consortium are set to complete a £300m takeover from Mike Ashley according to widespread reports and Pochettino, along with Massimiliano Allegri, are two high-profile names in the running to be their new manager.

Speaking to talkSPORT2, former player Warren Barton said the Magpies need to do all they can to land Pochettino if he is interested: “With all due respect to Steve (Bruce), and I’ve got a lot of respect for him, he’s not one of the top-level coaches around the world.

“He’s always done reasonably well in the Premier League and Championship, but if you want someone to take you to that next level, I think Pochettino would tick all the boxes.

"He’s ambitious, he’s great with young players, he understands the Premier League… and I think he’s got a chip on his shoulder now to come back and prove people wrong."
