Ten more out of the 21 students of Baptist High School, Damishi, Kaduna, kidnapped by bandits on Sunday regained their freedom.
The students were released this afternoon and have since been returned to their parents.
The state Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. John Joseph Hayab, told KHORGIST that the remaining 11 students are still in the hands of the bandits.
He said, “We are still pleading with the bandits to please have mercy on the students and the parents to release the students for them to be reunited with their parents and for the parents to have peace in their hearts.
“The trauma that both the abducted students and the parents have gone through for about three months is so devastating and hope the bandits will please see reasons to release the students to their parents.”
He thanked have all Nigerians for their prayers and support and expressed confidence that the prayers of his children would not go in vain, calling on Nigerians to continue to pray for the release of those in captivity.
DAILY POST recalls that the 121 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Damishi, Kaduna, were abducted in their school on 5th July 2021 and since then they have been released in batches with 11 of the abducted students still in the hands of the kidnappers.
