Teenager dragged down stairs and glassed at nightclub's "PEACE RALLY" is left with horrific injuries

A teenager was dragged down a flight of stairs and glassed in a gruesome attack at a nightclub - at an event which was supposed to promote PEACE.

Niva Garland was left with gashes across her face, needed her head glued back together and her cheek X-rayed after she claims she accidentally getting in the way of a group of boys fighting.

Her mum, Vivien Garland, has now issued a desperate social media appeal to find the people who did this to help her daughter get justice.

She wrote on Facebook : "It’s any mum’s worst nightmare, I got a call saying my gorgeous girl is waiting for an ambulance.

“I can’t believe it. The girls were all looking forward to a lovely night out and she ends up in hospital getting her head glued back together and her cheek x-rayed.

“She accidentally got in the way of a fight between two groups of lads, ended up being dragged down (a) flight of stairs and glassed.

“Someone must have seen something. Please, please get in touch if you did.”

The post has been shared thousands of times.

Niva was at the Peace Movement event on Blundell Street in the Baltic Triangle when the attack took place.

Organiser Barry Walker told the Liverpool Echo : “I’m absolutely gutted about what’s happened. I’m trying to get [Niva’s] details to ring her and make sure she is okay.

“We have worked for a year to promote peace, love and niceness. Call me cheesy but we are on a mission to try and make Liverpool’s nightlife a happier place, and then a handful of people have caused this.

“One 30-second incident has marred a year of good work, it’s sickened me.

“We won’t be defeated by this, we can’t. I’m going to double up on security and make sure this never, ever, happens again.”

The event is billed as a secret warehouse party for ‘nice people only’.

A list of rules on the event’s Facebook page includes ‘no negative vibes’ and to ‘love yourself and each other'.

Merseyside Police has been approached for comment.
