An online survey of 4,000 Europeans from 10 different countries explored which country's lovers were the most loyal.
Britons are Europe's most loyal lovers - as they are least likely to CHEAT when on a foreign, sun-kissed holiday, a study has found.
But the research into European's sex habits when abroad away from their partner found the French the most likely to chance an illicit romp.
The pan-European online survey of 4,000 Europeans from 10 different countries explored which country's lovers were the most loyal.
In the cheating stakes, the UK came last with only 27 per cent of Britons willing to entertain the idea of a sneaky summer holiday romance.
Instead the French were worst - where over half those questioned (54 per cent) admitted considering vacation sun-kissed sex behind their partner's back.
The survey - by dating app 'Happn' - reveals the Italians (53 per cent) the next most likely to be unfaithful on their summer break.
While third worst were the Spanish (45 per cent ready to have an affair) then the Swedes, with 42 per cent eager to frolic with a stranger.
Claire Certain, head of trends at Happn, said: "It looks like Brits are keen for their summer romances to blossom into something more evergreen.
"We've got our fingers crossed for those chance holiday encounters lasting long after touching down back home!"
