Anambra bans drinking of Garri in the state over Lassa fever

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Akabuike made this known while teaching occupants of the state on measures to keep the ailment at a public interview in Awka.

This comes after Idowu Ahmed, a 30-year-old specialist with the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Lokoja, kicked the bucket of Lassa fever on Sunday. 

A parade was held at the Federal Medical Center Lokoja on Tuesday, for the late specialist who passed on of the haemorrhagic sickness.
