Kechi Okwuchi honors her friends who died in 2005 Sosoliso Crash

Kechi Okwuchi took to Twitter yesterday to honor her friends who died in 2005 Sosoliso Crash, an incident that cast a dark veil on Nigeria.

Kechi Okwuchi also promised to keep her promise to her friends who died in 2005 Sosoliso Crash, as yesterday marked the 13th anniversary remembrance of the crash. She wrote;

To the dearly departed of Dec 10, 2005, to the 60 angels, many of whom were dear friends, I want you to know I am doing my very best to keep my promise to you all, to live this gift of life in a way that will best honor your memories & honor the Lord.

61 students of the Loyola Jesuit College (LJC) were headed home for the Christmas holidays in 2005, when the Sosoliso aircraft conveying them crashed in Port Harcourt. These students, who had left their school and friends less than two hours earlier, were barely minutes away from re-uniting with their families when the tragedy struck.

The crash claimed all the lives on board, except two (one LJC student and another passenger). It was an overwhelming catastrophe that cast a shadow in the lives of everyone involved and the nation as a whole.
