Federal Government Have Least Concern For Nigerian Education - ASSU



President, Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi Tuesday regretted the condition of the country, including that Public education system, from pre - primary  to the college level, has stopped to be the need of Nigerian rulers.Tending to the press in Port Harcourt on the State of the Nation he stated: Public education system, from pre-primary to the university level, has ceased to be the priority of Nigerian rulers.”
As per him, "In 2017, as much as 17 State Governors failed to get to a sum of N16.2billion Universal Basic Education (UBE) fund for inability to give the partner finances expected of their States. Also, by about the center of 2018, a collected aggregate of N76.12 billion was unaccessed by State Governors to improve the nature of open essential and junior optional schools. Nigerian students rank 5th in number of foreign students in India.”
